NoteGPT AI Note Taker is designed with a local-first philosophy. We collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the app's features.

• Text content: Text you paste or type into the AI Writer, Summarizer, or AI Chat features is processed to generate responses. This content is not stored on our servers.
• Audio input: When you use the Transcriber or AI Voice features, microphone audio is processed locally and/or via our AI provider. We do not store audio recordings.
• Usage data: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency) may be collected to improve the app. This data cannot identify you personally.
• Device identifiers: Standard device information (iOS version, device model) may be collected for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.

We use the information collected solely to:

• Provide and operate the app's core features: AI Writer Transcriber Summarizer AI Voice Flashcards AI Chat
• Process AI detection, humanization, and grammar checks through our AI provider (Cloudflare Workers AI).
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.
• Respond to your support inquiries.

We never use your content to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

All user-generated content — including notes, flashcards, chat history, and transcripts — is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

You can clear your data at any time via Settings → Clear chat history and Settings → Clear flashcards within the app.

NoteGPT AI Note Taker integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its AI-powered features:

• Cloudflare Workers AI — Powers the AI Writer, AI Chat, Transcription, and Summarizer features. Text content is transmitted to Cloudflare's infrastructure to generate responses. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy applies to data processed through their services.
• Apple Services — We comply with Apple's App Store guidelines and may use Apple's standard analytics frameworks for crash reporting.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

The AI Transcriber and AI Voice features require access to your device's microphone. This permission is used exclusively to capture audio for transcription and text-to-speech purposes.

You can revoke microphone access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → NoteGPT AI Note Taker. Revoking this permission will disable voice-based features but will not affect other app functionality.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Since all personal content is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode encryption).

Transmissions to our AI provider (Cloudflare Workers AI) are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

NoteGPT AI Note Taker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action and delete the relevant data.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request information about what data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data. Since most data is local, you can delete it directly from the app or by uninstalling it.
• Opt-out: You may opt out of anonymous analytics collection by contacting us.
• Portability: Export your locally stored data (notes, flashcards) through standard iOS backup or sharing features.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address listed in Section 14.

Since NoteGPT stores data locally on your device, data retention is entirely under your control. Text submitted to our AI provider for processing is not retained on Cloudflare's servers beyond the time needed to generate a response.

Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all locally stored data from your device.

NoteGPT AI Note Taker is available globally. If you are accessing the app from outside the United States or Morocco, please note that your information may be processed in jurisdictions where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

By using the app, you consent to any such transfer and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.

We do not sell personal information to third parties. To exercise your CCPA rights, please contact us using the information in Section 14.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and data portability.

Our legal basis for processing any personal data is your consent (provided when you use the app) and our legitimate interest in providing a functional service. You may withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the app and contacting us for data deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of NoteGPT AI Note Taker after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
